| NABCO Company, a Nabtesco
Corporation was awarded one of the most prestigious
projects from the ITO Joint Venture (comprising
of Italian Thai Development PLC. Takenaka Corporation,
and Obayashi Corporation.) NABCO will install the
"CircleStar Duo" Revolving Door Systems
and their peripheral accessories at Suvarnabhumi
(Bangkok) International Airport. The new airport
buildings are being constructed by New Bangkok International
Airport Co., Ltd., and are scheduled to open in
July of 2005.
The "CircleStar Duo" is a combination
of sophisticated look, safety and state-of-the-art
control technology. There is no better system
available in the marketplace other than these
revolving door systems for the prevention of "draft"
caused by external wind and air pressure. "CircleStar
Duo" is the ultimate solution to energy conservation.
The "CircleStar Duo" can be used safely
and conveniently in any public place. Twenty-six
sets of "CircleStar Duo" are going to
be installed in these buildings at a total estimated
value of 400 plus million yen. The shipments of
these products are in progress since 2004 and
the installation will be completed soon for the
opening of the new airport.
The new airport is located 25 km east of Bangkok
and has an area of 3,200 hectares. It is expected
to accommodate 30 million passengers annually.
Following future expansion, passengers are expected
to rise to 100 million. The expanded airport will
be the largest in Southeast Asia. The airport
buildings have been designed by Murphy/Jahn, Inc.
(U.S.A.), bearing the concept of artistic integration
of modern technology and Thai traditional culture.
In accordance with the demands for function, reliability,
and advanced designs of the "CircleStar Duo"
we strongly believe that it is our past performances
that have given us the edge against major competitors.
As a leading manufacturer of automatic door systems
in Japan, NABCO enjoys about 50% of the market
share. To date, we have successfully participated
in other large-scale overseas projects, including
Beijing Airport, Pudong Airport, and Incheon Airport.
The new Suvarnabhumi (Bangkok) International Airport
has now offered us the opportunity to aim for
further expansion of our overseas markets.
