NABCO Ltd. was a pioneer to commercialize automatic doors in Japan. At that time, automatic door for building meant “swing door”, and the demand was limited.
To breakthrough the situation, we aimed to focus on sliding door, which was widely accepted in the market, and developed originally designed automatic operating system for “sliding door”.
Since then, Nabco automatic doors have consistently been a brand leader in this field.
Currently, we manufacture around 65,000 automatic entrance systems yearly.
In 2006, total units of our production since 1956 reached 1,500,000.
Our international business activities began in the 60's to build our sales network around the world.
In addition to exporting through local distributors, we also acquired an American manufacturer called LANSON Industries (Gyro-Tech) in 1992, which subsequently changed the corporate name to NABCO Entrances Inc.
In 1995 we commenced a joint venture in Beijing with a Chinese corporation, which became our wholly owned subsidiary in 2005, called NABCO AUTODOOR (BEIJING) Co., Ltd.
In cooperation with these partners, our global business has been rapidly increasing.
